At Sydney Motorway Corporation, sustainability is embedded in everything we do and we work hard to ensure we enhance environmental, social and economic outcomes for our local communities.
Through our Community Grant Scheme, we aim to support groups that are focused on delivering grassroots initiatives to achieve positive community outcomes.
Helping to drive local spending in Ashfield, Summer Hill and Haberfield
Sydney Motorway Corporation provided a grant to the Ashfield Business Chamber (AshBiz) in December 2016 to develop a new website.
The new website is helping AshBiz to boost the local economy in Ashfield, Summer Hill and Haberfield by promoting local businesses’ goods and services. Featuring a shop local theme, the website is expected to showcase more than 200 local businesses.
AshBiz is also using the website to promote services it provides to its members to ensure business success, including networking opportunities, free business workshops and business news and insights.
Established in 2008, AshBiz’s mission is to enhance the sustainability and growth of businesses in Ashfield and the surrounding suburbs. It represents the needs of local businesses and works hard to ensure high levels of visitation and local spend.
Sydney Motorway Corporation is proud to support AshBiz and its website as driving economic outcomes for local communities is a key objective of the Community Grant Scheme.
